The Colorado Candle is here!! We worked with a local candle maker and a local ceramist to create a candle that captures the scent of our mountains. With notes of fir, sage, lavender, vetiver, and cedar, this beautiful candle will whisk you away to places high and wild, in perfect Osmia style. We hope you LOVE this candle as much as we do!
Notes from Jill of Aspen Clean Candle:
-
The Colorado Candle is scented with ONLY organic essential oils, and has zero chemical scent enhancers (aka phthalates) to propagate the fragrance. .
-
The Colorado Candle is free from petroleum wax (paraffin), synthetic fragrance, phthalates, hormone disruptors, artificial colorants, and all California Proposition 65 chemicals.
-
Each food-grade porcelain vessel is handmade by Cristine Boyd in Pueblo, CO. Each one is slightly different and adorably imperfect. The vessels are intended to be repurposed after the wax has all melted, and they can be used as coffee mugs! (Email us for instructions if needed.)
-
Always trim your candle wick to about 1/4" before you light it. You need to remove any black wick buildup (the “mushroom”) if it has formed from multiple burns. Make sure there are no drafts, and that the candle is on a level surface. Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. With proper care, your candle will burn clean to the bottom.
-
The dust covers on the porcelain candles have wildflower seeds in them. Simply place the dust cover in a cup of water overnight, then drop it in some soil, cover with about 1/4" of more soil, water it, and wait! Keep it moist for a few weeks and watch your seeds grow! Give them love (and more water), and enjoy the flowers.
For: Anyone who wants a room to smell incredible.
How: The INITIAL burn should be long enough to create a wide liquid pool across the top, about 3 hours. This ensures that future burns will continue to melt the wax down the sides. Wax has a “memory”, and if you only let the candle burn a short time, the future burns may tunnel down the center of the vessel.
PLEASE NOTE: Packaging may vary.
