The Role of Vitality in Lasting Healing
Sharon shares her experience of the power that increasing vitality has to foster lasting healing.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your philosophy on healing.
I have always been involved in the creative fields. First fashion both in merchandising and the agency side booking models. That took me into photography and then I went back to school for Interior Design when I got married. I did that and still do for over 25 years. Health Coaching is new for me. It was part of the path of my life completely changing when I moved to LA from Northern California.
Q: Tell us about your path to creating your business and your vision
I am a big advocate of what I call “Living Life on a Natural High.” I think people have got so far away from listening to their bodies and feeding their soul. We are too programmed to pop a pill, take a drink, eat fake food camouflaged as a meal.
Q: What is your philosophy on healing or overcoming health challenges.
EAT REAL FOOD. Meditate, slow down, BREATHE, do things that satisfy you in a soulful way. Nurture relationships.
Q: How have you used adversity in your life to fuel your commitment to balance and wellness?
In my Mid-forties, I woke up. I looked in the mirror and did not like the alcoholic/addict looking back. I decided I needed to make a change and I have never looked back. It took a few years of being sober and leaving a marriage before I started really looking at the food component. I had always cooked-it is therapy to me, but I didn’t know real nutrition. I took a detox class and life completely changed. I started losing weight, becoming more clear, skin glowed. People started asking me what I was doing.
Q: How do you stay healthy, resilient and vibrant?
I eat real food, that works with my body. I move. I do work that I love. I have beautiful friendships and relationships.
Q: What tips do you recommend for your clients dealing with / healing from illness?
To be kind to themselves, to love, laugh and to eat what works for them. A positive attitude is key.
Q: If there was only one thing a person could find the energy and resources to make a priority what would it be?
Eat real food.
